At the Library
Jason and his friend Jaden were hanging out and smoking outside of the library one day when League Member Todd (Brooklyn Park, Mn.) and his friend John had intentionally headed to the library to share Christ and Gospels of John. The four men started talking and Jason revealed that he was about to go into the army. Jaden expressed that he too was thinking about joining the military.
As the conversation progressed, Jason recounted a story about when he had recently been in a bicycle accident. He conveyed how he had a Bible in his backpack that day and it took the blow which saved his demise. Jason’s friend, Jaden, was listening intently to the story and confessed that he didn’t own a Bible. Todd reported:
“I pulled out a camouflage-design Gospel of John with the words Desert Camo written on the cover and handed it to Jaden.”
Both men were open to listening as Todd and John shared the Gospel with them, and when Todd showed them the sinner’s prayer in the booklet, they prayed to accept Christ.
As they separated from the men, Todd and John agreed confidently,
“Giving out pocket Gospels of John is as simple as praying for a Divine appointment, carrying them with you and having them handy when someone doesn’t have a Bible.”
