On The Lookout
Living in a beautiful modernized 435 year old city, located on the right bank of a river in Central Russia, Vladimir loves to be out and about and on the lookout for opportunities to share his Gospels of John. He recently expressed,
Every morning I pray that the Lord will give me Divine meetings with people,
so I can tell them about Christ and share a pocket Gospel.
Then I go throughout my day paying attention to the people God brings.
Vladimir really likes that the Gospels of John are presented in a convenient format for sharing the salvation message. He also appreciates that they are compact, allowing him to carry them in his pocket. Vladimir related,
I am always on the lookout for openings to read the Gospel to someone
or to share the salvation message in the Gospel booklet.
I tell people that this is the precious Word of God.
A typical day for Vladimir might include offering a pocket Gospel to the taxi driver on his way to a cafe. Then, when he arrives at the cafe he simply hands Gospels of John to several people who seem willing to receive them. After leaving the café, he might approach a few people on the street and extend a Gospel of John to them. Vladimir reported,
I keep Gospels in a closet at my place of work
In order to always have them handy and ready to give out.
I have also helped my church to evangelize with the Gospels.
Vladimir writes his name and telephone number on the last page of the Gospel booklet so people can contact him with questions or just to talk about the Gospel. At the end of each day he prays for the people he gave Gospels to and expresses his deep gratitude to God for the opportunities provided to him that day while he was on the lookout.
