PTL App 2.0: Launching Soon with Full Language Immersion and Secure Communities

We’re thrilled to announce that PTL App 2.0 is launching very soon, packed with game-changing updates to share Jesus even more effectively worldwide.

Enhanced Video and Spacing

Users in App 1.0 often missed multiple video clips per chapter, as they weren’t obvious on the screen. We’ve fixed this by making additional videos clearly scrollable on the right-hand side. Spacing after each verse also addresses cramped text, especially in Middle Eastern and Asian languages, without clunky paragraph reforms that drive up costs.

A mobile app screen displays John - Chapter 2, featuring a video thumbnail of Jesus at a wedding, chapter text below, a play button to listen, and icons for home, read, community, and donate at the bottom.

Full Language Immersion

App 2.0 delivers everything in the user’s selected language, like this Spanish screenshot (minor English remnants will vanish pre-launch). This counters claims that Christianity is a “white man’s religion,” letting people encounter Jesus 100% in their heart language. Every download acts as a digital missionary, removing barriers just as on-the-ground workers do.

A mobile app screen shows a video titled "Juan - Capítulo 2" with a scene of Jesus at a table. Below, Spanish text narrates the wedding at Cana, and a button says "Escucha este capítulo." Navigation icons are at the bottom.

Secure Communities Feature

To foster engagement with God’s Word and connections among believers, we’ve added encrypted messaging communities based on language or location. Users join anonymously or identified, asking questions and potentially linking with local believers, via a simple “community” button on the home screen.

A mobile app screen titled "Community" shows groups with images: a lantern for "New Community" and "Safar," a group handshake for "Believe," and open books for "The Seeking Space" and "The Word & Life." Navigation icons are at the bottom.A mobile app screen shows the "Safar" community. Activity stats display 1 new post today, 11 last month, 7 members, and 7 new members last month. Options to ask privately or post publicly are shown. A recent post says "logging in.

Partner-Powered Moderation

A key question was how to scale these communities, potentially hundreds worldwide, without expanding League Staff. Our answer: leverage our great partners already sharing the Gospel on the ground or digitally in the same cities and countries. Recent meetings with seven early-adopter partners sparked huge excitement: one plans app downloads and training at 100+ pastors’ conferences; another lit up seeing download stats match their city focus; a test community launched overnight; and global Farsi/Arabic groups for displaced people got a resounding “yes!”

Kingdom-Level Impact

The images show safe, anonymous joining with private question or moderator chat options. This positions PTL not as a standalone entity, but woven into God’s broader Kingdom work, connecting seekers to partners without added overhead. Momentum is building.
