1 Corinthians 11:33
So then, my brothers and sisters, when you gather to eat, you should all eat together.
Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
I believe Paul is saying here we should focus on fellowship, and care for one another in Anticipation of His Return. Anticipate culmination of our Life in Him by remembering Him until He comes to receive us unto Himself that where He is, we will always be.

1 Corinthians 10:11
These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come.

Pretty self explanatory isn't it? The warnings have been written in Scripture, and yes we will all slip once in a while, which is our human nature but when Holy Spirit nudges our conscience that we have slipped, then we are able to trun back and confess our sin and repent. God is faithful to all who do their best to walk according to His desire. 1Jn 1:9  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Amen Lloyd you expressed this very well, there are many warnings through out Gods word. And with all these warnings it comes down to one word Repentance. We are living in the times of Great Warnings. Be Blest as the Gospel of Jesus Christ touches someone today and everyday.

Romans 16:17
I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

It's ok to be open minded about different views. However, there are things and people that can keep you or turn you from God. God gave us free will so yes we can explore. What happens to other groups and religions that have been taught in different ways. They believe they are following the right way too. Is it right to try and change them? Is our way the only way? A lot of different religions believe in a higher power. And some of their teachings have the power of goodness and rightness and teaches man to be good, honest, kind, respectful, etc.. I am just throwing this in, lol. You see we believe in Jesus and God and the bible teaches us how to live. But a lot of other teachings help with this. But, we have to be careful that we don't lose sight of God and his purpose for us. Even as a kid I use to think that too much education could turn people from God if they didn't focus on him. When I went to university I heard a lot of things in my classes and I often wondered how many people were swayed to those beliefs and caused them to stumble. Which come back to the verse I chose: "Watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in you way...".

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
All Christians have the Hedge of protection from temptation because God's word is Faithful and True. Every temptation, hardship or loss has passed through the Hands of God, before reaching me/ us. And God knows about it and knows you can withstand it. Nothing can separate us from Christ's Love.Prepare us Lord for any persecution coming our way.

Amen Peter. God is so faithful and forgiving if only we do our best not to sin, yet He knows we will slip once in a while and He tells us that if we confess, He will forgive. 1Jn 1:9. Be blessed my brother in Christ. Currently clear here tonight and calling for -11* currently 0*. We sure got spoiled earlier this winter with the mild temps. :-)

1 Corinthians 9:19
Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.

After Paul's awakening on the road to Damascus, he surely poured his entire being into the spreading of the Gospel of Christ. What he suffered in persecution at times was a tremendous example to all believers. Amen. Mat 24:14  "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be proclaimed in all the world as a witness to all nations. And then the end shall come." Lord, inspire us all as believers in Christ, to be witnesses to the people of the world of their need of Christ.

Amen and Amen Loyd expressed very well , and what a Great Awakening. Paul a servant to all, a follower of Jesus Christ. And we as Christians like Paul, must be followers and available to teach and bring people to Christ. Mark 9: 35 b "Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all. Including every single member of the Body of Christ/the Church. Be Blest in the word of God my brother in Christ. Stay warm it's -9 here.

So after I have completed this task and have made sure that they have received this contribution, I will go to Spain and visit you on the way.

Paul sure gets around. From the town of Jerusalem to Spain. Imagine all the travelling! There was only foot travel, donkey and horse or boat back then. The distance did not deter him. I was wondering who specifically was he going to visit in Spain🇪🇸 ?
Trudy P.
Trudy P. from NL said:
He was a determined man, he was going to preach wherever he could and not quit due to the distances between places. He was on the go so much he could not have had a job other than preaching and thus had to rely on people to help him. He certainly was not building up earthly treasures!

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

It means that everything that is written in the Bible is just as important today as it was since the day it was written to help encourage us to endure each day until Christ returns for his Bride.

1 Corinthians 9:25
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
As Christians we can apply this verse to our Spiritual Lives. Our crown, are prize/ reward is Eternal Life in Heaven with Jesus. Physical training is important, but most important is Spiritual training. 1 Timothy 4: 8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

Well expressed, Peter. I find it discouraging that many who call themselves Christian, spend little time in the word of God, and putting it into practice. Be encouraged and strengthened, Peter, as we await His return. PS: don't know if you saw this or not, with Larry Sparks, Cindy Jacobs and Hank Kunneman, but I thought it surely was an encouragement, at least for your nation of America. God bless. https://sidroth.org/prophetic-outlook-2019-live-replay/

1 Corinthians 8:13
Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause them to fall.
Lloyd S.
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
We are a witness to others, whether or not they have received Christ into their lives. We must, as believers, be careful not to entice or wound the weak, that may not be as strong in their faith as we are. Lord, help me/us to walk in such a way that we will be a true witness to others, whether they are in the faith or not. Amen
Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Amen Lloyd with those 6 little words "We are witnesses to others." To be an effective witness to the world. We as witness for Jesus Christ remain loyal to the end. Great Blessings on this Lords Day

Don't act righteous. Don't cause people to stumble in their faith. If you do something and it is not wrong but someone else is not sure about it and it tests their faith because maybe they are new or they were raised differently, don't do it there with them if it will cause them to stumble in their faith. Talk to them and tell them why you believe in it. Let them see your point of view. But also keep in mind that it should be something that don't cause you to stumble either. Make sure what you are doing is pleasing to God. In today's world many people see very little wrong and they try to convince themselves and others that it's ok. We have come a long way with regards to what's right and wrong. We need to step back and yes maybe follow the older ways. This world is too free with everything and every viewpoint.
