1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Isn't it great that we have God on our side to look after us? But we also have to let him. We can't do everything by ourselves.

All Christians have the Hedge of protection from temptation because God's word is Faithful and True. Every temptation, hardship or loss has passed through the Hands of God, before reaching me/ us. And God knows about it and knows you can withstand it. Nothing can separate us from Christ's Love.Prepare us Lord for any persecution coming our way.

Amen Peter. God is so faithful and forgiving if only we do our best not to sin, yet He knows we will slip once in a while and He tells us that if we confess, He will forgive. 1Jn 1:9. But when you are Tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. Temptation in itself is not a sin only if we act on that temptation. But through God Faithfulness He enables us to resists the temptations to sin to endure the trial with out falling. Christ helps us to over come Temptation: Hebrews 2:17-18 For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become Merciful and Faithful High Priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being Tempted. Hebrews 4:15-16 For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are- yet he did not Sin. Let us then approach Gods Throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive Mercy and find Grace to help us in our time of need.

No matter what situation comes into our lives , we are not the first ones who has had to endure it, others have been in it before us, God will in His faith, mercy and grace , will lead us through those valleys and trials by His Spirit as we allow Him the control. We are not tempted by God but by satan, (James 1:14) and if we are believers in Christ, His Spirit paves the way for to overcome satan's attempts to pull us away from God by trials in our lives. Stand firm for God has overcome!! (1 John 4:4)

Many people act as if there’s no defense against temptation. At the first hint of desire, they throw their hands up and give in. What they fail to recognize is that enticement is a process, and processes can be short-circuited at any stage. All of us will be tempted in multiple areas of our lives. We need to look to the Lord and ask for His wisdom in overcoming temptation. Whenever we face temptation or trials we should ask Jesus how to best deal with the situations in your life and how to overcome temptation. "Every temptation that we meet in the path of duty is another chance of filling our souls with the power of heaven." – Frederick Temple I am reminded that James wrote, ”Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." - James 1:12 Temptation usually begins in the mind, where we live out an active fantasy life. By this, I mean that the human mind has the capacity to create entire conversations and experiences out of nothing. Through fantasy, we can enjoy something without ever bringing it into the real world. And people often think that since it isn’t real, it’s harmless. This is simply not true: “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God..” (Romans 8:7) The world of imagination can lead to a downward spiral of enslavement. Over time, fantasy becomes boring, and one feels a need for more gratifying fulfillment. Ultimately, our thoughts are so wrapped around the one temptation that it seems impossible to think of anything else. When that happens, our mind is held captive by the desire. And whenever our life becomes intently focused on anything other than God, we are trapped. Because the process of temptation starts with our thinking, it can be difficult to escape. No matter where we go or what we do, we’ll never be able to outrun our own mind. We can, however, disrupt the process by filling our head with God’s Word. As we continually feed our imagination a hearty diet of Scripture, the Word will go to work against the tempting fantasy. The Bible is powerful—trust it to set you free from the pressure of temptation. “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” (Colossians 3:2) “….bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” (2 Corinthians 10:5). God knows our lives. He is very conscious of our weaknesses and our strengths, and He has promised not to allow trials to come to us that are not common to everyone, but will "in" the trial be our sufficiency, strength, and comfort to carry us through. I'm sure you have often wondered, "Lord, why has this come upon me?"
Trials and temptations are also needed to "stretch" our faith, to secure the anchors of faith deep with confident trust in Christ, and to challenge us to walk in unwavering obedience. You might say, "I really don't need those trials. I can trust the Lord without them." The truth is, when our way is always smooth, we begin to rely upon "our resources" and finally think, "I can handle this; I'm doing pretty well on my own, and I really don't need the Lord." Paul tells us, "For whom the Lord loves, He chastens, and scourges every son he receives" (Hebrews 12:6). Therefore, our adversities and trials come with plan and purpose. Notice carefully that it is "in" the trial that God makes a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). "Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was" (Exodus 20:21). It is "in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us" (Romans 8:37). It was "in" the many adversities and trials that Paul suffered and endured, that he learned to be content. It was "in" his weakness that he was made strong; it was when there was "no way out" and God said to him, "My grace is sufficient for thee" (2 Corinthians 12:9). What wonderful words of assurance and comfort He gives us in this verse: But GOD IS FAITHFUL, who will IN the trial make a way of escape.
We grow in faith and maturity when we go through the trial with Christ, rather than being delivered from the trial by Christ. In His time, in His way, He perfects His will, and will be our sufficiency! God is never too late nor does He ever come with too little. There are no circumstances that are beyond God's power and there is nothing too trivial for His love. We should believe God while we going through the trial or temptation. "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee" (Hebrews 13:5).

“Because the process of temptation starts with our thinking”: “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” Philippians 4:8

In this life, you will be tempted by all things whether good or bad such as food. I used to be extremely overweight but God provided a way out for me in that my employer and insurance authorized the employees that wanted to to have gastric bypasses. That was God's way of providing me a way out. I can now say that it has been 8 years and I have kept the weight off. I wish I could say the same for some of my fellow co-workers as they went back to their old habits and re-gained the weight they had lossed.
