1 Corinthians 9:25
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

As Christians we can apply this verse to our Spiritual Lives. Our crown, are prize/ reward is Eternal Life in Heaven with Jesus. Physical training is important, but most important is Spiritual training. 1 Timothy 4: 8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

Well expressed, Peter. I find it discouraging that many who call themselves Christian, spend little time in the word of God, and putting it into practice. Be encouraged and strengthened, Peter, as we await His return. PS: don't know if you saw this or not, with Larry Sparks, Cindy Jacobs and Hank Kunneman, but I thought it surely was an encouragement, at least for your nation of America. God bless. https://sidroth.org/prophetic-outlook-2019-live-replay/

Preach the word and Receive the Crown of Righteousness which will Last Forever. 2 Timothy 4:8 Now there is in store for me the Crown of Righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will award to me on that day- and only to me, but to all (us) who have Longed for His appearing. 1 Peter 5:4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will Receive the Crown of Glory that will never fade away. Revelation 3:11 I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your Crown.
