An encouraging and wise word. As believers we are to loving as God is loving, which at times is difficult but even Christ showed love, even to those who follow His example. He was often condemned and persecuted for His ministry and messages. Then He forgave even those who nailed Him to the cross. Luk 23:34  And Jesus said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And parting his garments among them, they cast lots. Lord, inspire me/us to be as Jesus was, who forgave even those who nailed Him to the cross. Amen

Amen Lloyd, Perseverance is a powerful and wise word,(a gift from God) and as Christians, the Body of Christ we need to remind ourselves that we need to remain Faithful to Christ, persevering in faith til the end. The trials and distractions of the world sometimes get me side tracked, but as I confess and repent the Lord is so faithful and forgiving. Remember what 2 Corinthians 5:17 says: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new". So since you are a believer and your prayer is to start "a new", from yesterday backwards is THE OLD things and today, ALL THINGS have become NEW. Ethel, I so agree with Bruno, regarding your return. You might reassure yourself by going to the story of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32) which is exactly what that is all about. A son who ran away from his father's teaching and blowing his inheritance but when he returned, realizing his mistake, the father (just like God) enfolded him again and treated him as if he had never left. I encourage you too, Ethel to eat lots of fruits and vegetables (organic if possible) and if not organic then wash and flush them thoroughly. I don't know your financial situation but my wife and I use the MonaVie products to help us stay healthy. My wife suffered terribly with fibromyalgia for over 10 years and lost all pain after less than 2 weeks of using the Active blend so we use it continually.
