Numbers 7:88
The total number of animals for the sacrifice of the fellowship offering came to twenty-four oxen, sixty rams, sixty male goats and sixty male lambs a year old. These were the offerings for the dedication of the altar after it was anointed.

Each tribe apparently provided the appropriate offerings that were required by the Lord, not only for their sin offerings but also to accomplish the work about the temple. Another difficult chapter to make a choice for comment but the Israelites were obviously obedient to what the Lord desired.

Lloyd just sitting here looking at our insight to the book of Leviticus and Numbers, we know there is a purpose, and for the most part these books and the rituals all point to Jesus Christ, and to what He did on the cross for the sins of the world. Simple solution, Romans 10:13 for "Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Be washed in the Blood of Jesus and Believe that He arose from the dead. Keeping in prayer the change in Israel.

Wow what an interesting chapter, 12 tribes, 12 days, 12 offerings to dedicate the the alter, the alter of of Old Testament Prophets for the atonement of sin. (to sacrifice unblemished animals) On the alter of the Cross Jesus, the Son of God(free from sin) was the once and for all Sacrifice for the Sins of The World.

Wow is right Peter. What an amazing amount of animals and silver, gold and grain offerings. Praise God that He sent Jesus as our one time offering, and at such a price. I would definitely have a difficult time offering up my child to such a horrendous death as Jesus had to pay for us. Such a blessing we have through Christ. Be blessed and encouraged brother, as we continue to study His word. :-)

It is amazing the number of animals brought in for the offerings and the gifts of silver trays and such. I often wonder about all the animals killed for the offerings. It must have taken a lot of clean up time after they were all slaughtered and burned and the ashes disposed of. Praise and thanks to the Lord, that He gave Himself for our sakes, that we would not have to do that anymore. With the current threats of North Korea, we must pray fervently that believers will seek the Lord, and that He will prevent further use of nuclear bombs, and that people will come to the Lord for their salvation. There is little question that we are in the last days. Help us all to stand firm in our faith, Lord, and the faith to believe for the revelation of Christ to the hundreds of millions who are yet to know Christ..
