Deuteronomy 1:45
You came back and wept before the Lord, but he paid no attention to your weeping and turned a deaf ear to you.
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
They had been disobedient to the Lord when He commanded them not to go against their enemies because they had not been obedient to His original commands. They went out in their own boldness anyhow, and were soundly defeated. Now they were weeping and the Lord payed no attention to them. If we go against the commands of the Lord, we can expect disaster but if we pay attention to His commands we will be blessed. 1Sam 15:22 And Samuel said, Does Jehovah delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of Jehovah? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice! To listen is better than the fat of rams!
