See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land the Lord swore he would give to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—and to their descendants after them."

Key Phrase: "Go in and take possession of the Land the Lord Swore He would give to your fathers- to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob- and to their descendants after them." The one word that kept Joshua and Israel to stand firm in the face of the enemy was Inheritance. Over and Over God commands His children to take possess the Land.This land was a Gift from God. And as Christians and a child of God we have our Inheritance in Christ Jesus.

So many times the Israelites doubted and feared, even after God had shown His mighty hand upon them so many times. 1Sa 15:22  And Samuel said, Does Jehovah delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of Jehovah?
