Deuteronomy 3:27
Go up to the top of Pisgah and look west and north and south and east. Look at the land with your own eyes, since you are not going to cross this Jordan.

Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
"Since you(Moses because of your disobedience) you are not going to cross this Jordan( to the Promised land) seems pretty harsh. But there is always punishment for not obeying God. The lesson here for Christians is to obey the commands of God. Obedience to God, is all about following Jesus Christ. John 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commands.

Amen and Amen, Peter. It is time for the body of Christ to cooperate and start taking up our swords, so-to-speak, and start attacking the enemy (satan) and his demons with the truth of God's word. Have a blessed week Peter. Tensions are high with elections here right now.

Timothy H. from Melrose, MA said:
Although Moses was unable to enter the promised land, God at least let him see with his own eyes that the inheritance was in fact real, as God had promised. It seems to me that though we have not yet seen our own inheritance of heaven, yet God has given us a "vision" through His holy word, that our inheritance is real. For Moses, seeing from the mountaintop validated what God had promised was true; for us seeing the life to come from the mountaintop of God's promises validates for us that what God promises us for the life to come is true!

Moses had to take care of such a large group of people, who constantly complain and grumble against him and against the Lord. I felt like that was too much responsibilities for Moses to be the keeper of this massive crowd. Their complaints and grumblings at one point caused him to stumble and so he was not allowed to go into the promise land. But God will certainly reward Moses for everything he did. I feel that we should not give the leaders of the church problems since they already have so much to take care of, instead we should help them to take care of the house of God so that we can help reduce their burden and have fellowship with one another and in Christ.

I agree with you Derek, it is so easy to complain about those in leadership. They need our help and prayers, not our insults. Things are not always what they seem. Their jobs are difficult enough without us making it worse.
