Exodus 11:5
Every firstborn son in Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to the firstborn son of the female slave, who is at her hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle as well.

Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
The final Plague, When God says enough, is enough He means it. We know that God is a patient God, He was patient throughout these 10 Plagues. We know that God is full of mercy, and He gave Egypt plenty of time to repent, 9 plagues to be exact, let my people go, and they chose not to, and in this chapter God said enough, and sent this final plague/judgment for their stubbornness and rebellion. The First Born Son of Egypt Will Die.

And one day soon God will proclaim Enough is Enough on this Nation/ World. Luke 21:28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your heads, for your Redemption Draws Near.

Very well expressed, Peter. For sure Pharaoh had plenty of warning and now God would strike the heart of Pharaoh in causing even his son to die along with the first born males of every family and animal. It is surely wise to pay attention to what the Lord says. Be encouraged and strengthened as we read and internalize the truth of His word, Peter. :-)

It is hard to imagine all this death and sorrow. Don't let your heart be hardened to things so much in your life that it takes something so devastating to wake you up. Sometimes we are so in touch with worldly things that it takes a tragedy to wake us up to reality. Not only do we suffer but those around you as well.

The LORD is God and He is to be feared and revered. Sometimes we forget how majestic and how powerful God is. We need to realize that He is our God not a genie which we come and ask for favor whenever needed. Let's not put God in a box. We must not trap God by our limited mind because God is beyond our understanding. Thank you LORD for being mindful of us, your creation, and love us without limit. Who are we that you should send your son to die for us? We're mere sinners deserving to die but by your mercy and grace, we have received the forgiveness of our sins and reconciliation and redemption for our soul. Thank you for the greatest gift ever, the gift of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, I thank you Father. Amen!
