Genesis 1:16
God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

Two great lights He created, the sun to light the earth by day and the moon to light it by night. Such an awesome God we serve. He spoke and the sun, moon and stars were created. To me the sun is the most amazing creation. When I think about it, the sun is a huge ball of fire ninety three million miles from earth. It lights the earth, warms the earth and the most amazing part is, it never runs out of fuel, never decreases in size. A fire burns fuel and if we have an oil furnace in our home and we don't refuel that furnace, it goes out and we no longer have heat but the sun has been burning for over 6,000 years and never goes out. What an awesome God, who controls all things.

Amen Lloyd, two great lights to rule the night and the day. He created the whole Universe, what an incredible display of power. Thanks for that option hope we don't need to do that for the rest of the study. Be Blest my Brother in Christ

Obviously, the "greater light" being the sun and the "lesser light" being the moon. What an awesome God we serve. And then He created the stars, so numerous none can count or even see them all. Thank You Lord for Your creation of all things, including us humans.
