Once again a very difficult chapter to choose a verse on which to comment. Apparently, ALL were to be killed, whether man or woman but it was not evident when the command was given, unless the original Hebrew language indicated differently. However, Moses was quite disturbed to see that many had not been eliminated, and he had to give further instructions to finish the job.

Lloyd verse 16 explains fully who was killed, only the ones who enticed Israelites to be unfaithful. and 17 and kill every woman who slept with a man. And in verse 18 every girl was saved who has never slept with a man. Today would be different because of Gods Grace, you can Repent and be saved. Acts 2:21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Thanks for the information on you out reach. Blessings as we Follow Him, a Risen Savior.

Yes, it does say it there Peter, and I may have missed something but I don't believe it was stated in the original command, and to me it was confusing, that it wasn't. It just seemed that after the mission Moses was angered, unless I missed something in the original command. Have a great week, Peter. :-)

It must have been understood that they were to kill all of the Midianites, because I did not see where they were commanded to kill even the women and children. It shows me that instructions must be very specific and detailed. Makes me wonder what a different world we would have today if the Lord's commands had been followed at that time. We likely would not have many of the false religions that we now have.
