This was a rather severe warning the Lord gave to the Israelites through Moses, and as we know, the Lord has always stood by His word. Lord, draw people of the world to the truth of Your word today, that our turbulent world would receive Your gift of salvation. Psa 67:2  So that Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.

Disobedience to the Lord, was and is, a very dangerous undertaking. The Israelites we forewarned of what would happen if they disobeyed. In this case they would perish, as the Lord would destroy them, just as He had promised to do to the current inhabitants. Lord, help me/us to follow Your commandments, for You are always righteous, treating us according to our response to You. Amen
