There is no other that we can turn to in times of trouble. My mind plays tricks on this passage because it hard to understand why there is trouble in the first place. Asking the big why and wondering where it all comes from especially when it's your child suffering and your heart suffering from loss. But in verse 10 the "Be Still" part when I am still and relax to hear Gods voice he is there. Though trouble surrounds me I can still rejoice in the Lord and abide in his comfort. God be with us!

This psalm foreshadows Jesus and his coming. Jesus certainly spoke with grace and even the Pharisees realized no one ever spoke like him. His way of putting things into perspective by his graceful tone set him apart. People listened, he captured them with his love and kindness. Speaking life into others is very important. They see more and hear more of Jesus in us when we speak through grace and love.

Waiting on God when your suffering often times seems unbearable. Have faith in Gods timing. The wonder working power of God is amazing. Don't loose hope God is always near and there is nothing he can't do. God guide me to your will show me your path restore my family. Be near oh God I'm praying for financial restoration. Your will your way I surrender all to you. I trust all to you. I give thanks and praise to you Lord.

From a text comment David Guzik Why are you cast down, O my soul: The psalmist paused from the painful memory to challenge his own soul. He did not surrender to his feelings of spiritual depression and discouragement. Instead, he challenged them and brought them before God. He said to those cast down and disquieted feelings, "Hope in God. He will come through again, because He has before." . Hope in God: The pleasant words of Psalm 42:5 are repeated as both important and helpful. The psalmist -- and everyone buried under discouragement -- needed to keep hope in God and keep confidence that he shall yet praise Him. Me It's easy to get discouraged and your mind can bring you to the lowest of lows. It is important to arm ourselves with Gods word so that when we are taunted by discouraging experiences our mind and thoughts have the knowledge of God to bring us to thoughts of hope and Gods love. We can always find some valid reasons for discouragement; but there were many more reasons for hope.

Lord help me to be the answer to prayers and not just speak words. Instead of just saying I'm praying for someone let me search if there is any action I can put to my prayer. Let my heart and mouth match lifting people up not just being positive and encouraging only to turn and complain about them. Help me to free myself from the sin of double talk. Help me speak life into others and also speak love about them.

I needed this today. I feel like I'm in the slimy pit and God seems so far away. I've even been questioning God and what I believe. My mom told me if I wanted answers from God to get in his word so here I am picking up where I stopped and God is answering me. Waiting is horrible especially when I'm in such a bad place financially. I know this and yet I didn't see it's me that's far away. I'm letting the devil win the war in my mind and just drifting right now. God bring me to solid ground and help me to plant my feet firm again.

God my financial situation is broken to the bottom of nothing. Let me not be gathering wealth in vain but yet let my family gain financial freedom to be kingdom builders. Let us work hard and succeed rebuilding not to end up with wealth to not know who's it's will be but to gain freedom financially knowing that it is yours not ours to be put to use for your will. I pray my family will speak life into others showing them your love and salvation. Cherry Grove will succeed and change lives.

Waiting on God's timing is hard. We make our own plans and live daily on auto pilot. Never thinking that our silence to God is hard on him. He wants us to have a real relationship with him. Even if it is crying out like this psalm. The more we involve God in our daily life the more we will hear from him. Thank you God for the sacrifice of the cross that when I feel down and worthless like this psalm I can have hope that I am forgiven. I already know you are near and love me even in silence.

Concentrate on God letting my focus be his will and way for ME and not be consumed by actions of others and what they may have. Let the deeds of others be between them and God. God is our refuge and strength delight in him and give thanks and praise.
