What’s Your Passion
Usually, we think of adults as the ones who undertake ministry start-ups. Wanting to encourage her young fourteen-year-old son and daughter to share their faith, Kimberly, from Seneca, S.C., ordered two Gospel covers… Love Coloring Book and Who’s In Control. Her twelve-year-old daughter shared,
I started a ministry out of my passion for refurbishing dolls. I am giving them to victims of domestic abuse and accidents, as well as to foster children. I’m including a copy of the Pocket Testament Gospel of John with each doll so these children in crisis have access to Scripture.
Kimberly and her family know that when we are in trouble Jesus offers true peace. In John 16:33 we are reminded,
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
Kimberly declared that, just like her two children, with the pocket Gospels, we all have access to share our faith. We can pray for divine appointments and either simply hand one to someone or leave it in a place where it can be picked up. This could change a person’s life for eternity.
Now that’s something worth being passionate about!
