Genesis 4:8
Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
This passage deals with the murder of Able. The first recorded murder in history by Cain his older brother, the first born of Adam and Eve.
Lloyd S.
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
Yes, Peter, and the Lord had encouraged him not to fall to the temptation to sin, and yet Cain chose the path of sin, in murdering his own brother. I see no indication that Cain even repented of his sin, and was therefore banished from the presence of the Lord. "Luke 13:3  I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish." Be encouraged Peter, as we draw near to the Lord and resist that temptation to sin that is always presented to us. :-)
