But because of you the Lord was angry with me and would not listen to me. "That is enough," the Lord said. "Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.

Moses has told us of times when He was able to petition God and God change his mind Here Moses lets us know even God can get His fill of repeat petitions to have his mind changed. No means no, I have had enough!. You are NOT going into the promised land Do not ask me again. How many times have our kids put us in the same position. ...another example of a loving Father.

If we anger the Lord, He will not work on our behalf until we humble ourselves and repent and even then it may be too late for us and what w could have possessed may be given to another.

Moses misrepresented the Lord when he smote the Rock at Meribah. He was not allowed to go into the Promise Land until 1,500 years later when he is speaking with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration. How cool is our God, He makes a way when there seems to be no way and His Way is always the better than ours.
