This verse reminds me of the virgins waiting on the bride groom. They had to keep their lamps full of oil and burning. Some ran out of oil and asked of others for some of their oil. They were denied because the ones with oil didnt want to run out too. The bride groom came while the virgins who left to get more oil were away. It seems to me that the burning oil lamps represent our fire for God. We should be found with a lit fire. I found it interesting that the oil is clear olive oil. (I didnt know this before)
