I can't get enough of the story of Dagon (1 Samuel 5:3). We can make anything into a god. "Prophets" can make anything into a god. But even the false gods fall before the real true God of Jeremiah and the God of my life. There are even a few times in the Bible when God tells us that we can test Him, just as He does here, in Jeremiah 33:3. Dagon was put to the test and fell repeatedly.

(8) 'I will cleanse them from ALL the sin they have committed against Me and will forgive ALL their sins of rebellion against Me.' God didn't say; "I will forgive you for one sin" or "I will forgive you for a few sins" --- He said He will forgive us of ALL sins that we commit!! Give God the praise and all the glory and honor for His mercy He shows to us to forgive us for anything we do! He loves us so much and He cares for us! AMEN

Jeremiah 33:3 – What God wants most is a relationship with us. What would most people rather have, kids that are bad but spend time with their parents or kids that are good and but too busy for their parents? This is God’s telephone number: Jeremiah 33:3. He not only wants us to listen to Him, He wants us to talk to Him. Here He wants His people to know, that yes, He is tearing them down but He will also build them back up. We all have things in our lives that need to be torn down so that God can rebuild. If you want to develop strong healthy muscles you have to go through pain of tearing the muscle down and allow it to build up stronger than before. God’s ultimate goal is to make us like Him through an ever deepening relationship with Him. Father in Heaven, it is good to know that I can call on You anytime, day or night. Not only will You allow me to call on You, but You love it when I call on You. Even when I am only call because I got myself in a jam by not be obedient to Your Word. What a wonderful, merciful God You are.
