Job 1:21
and said:

"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
and naked I will depart.
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
may the name of the Lord be praised."

Job knew he came into the world with nothing and he will not be taking anything with him when he dies. May I/we always remember every thing we have is God's. Nothing in our lives, children, spouse, home, money, nothing, is by our doing. Every thing is from God and He can give at any time and take away at any time.

No matter what situation or what circumstances we find ourselves in, we are to be like Job and keep praising and worshipping God.

It is hard to imagine the shock all of this was to Job, and yet he submitted to the Lord and gave Him praise. He was wiped out of everything, including his family, and still submitted to the Lord, knowing that God had provided, and allowed all to be taken away. Oh to be so dedicated, and rock solid in the Lord to be able to give Him praise after such a disaster. Help me, Lord, to be so completely trusting and anchored in You, when I incur much lesser things in my life. Amen

Job was blessed in so many ways and he thanked God for all of his blessings, and then when Job lost it all he still thanked God and praised Him. My first feeling was, Why God, why would You allow this for Job. But then as I see Job's response I see the meaning of truly trusting God that He knows what is best for us. God, help me to always trust You and praise You when things are good for me and when things aren't good for me, knowing that You have it all in control. Thank you God for all of my blessings and thank you for the lessons that I am learning when my life has been torn upside down....And that is good cause this has been the time in my life that I am learning to rely on You and am growing in a close relationship with You. That is worth all of my troubles.

Job assessed NO blame to the Lord for his tremendous losses, the loss of his flocks, his family, most of his servants and even buildings. How many of us would be screaming out to God, saying what are You doing?? But not Job, he said, You have given and have taken away, be praised. Now that's dedication to the Lord.

The amazing thing is Job had no idea why these things were happening. We on the hand have knowledge of the spiritual warfare. But even so the bottom line is God is always in control.
