Job 7:20
If I have sinned, what have I done to you,
you who see everything we do?
Why have you made me your target?
Have I become a burden to you?

Job is asking God about what offenses he had done to make God angry with him. He didn't quite understand why it was happening to him. He did not know that it was the devil who was responsible for what he was going through.

Lord, help me (us) as believers to use the authority Christ has given us to come against the attacks of Satan, who, as stated in, 1Peter 5:8 Be sensible and vigilant, because your adversary the Devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour;

Job continues to beg God for forgiveness but doesn't know what he has done wrong. Now he begs God to let him know what he has done wrong. Job is not only suffering from physical pain but also is suffering spiritually. He loves God so much and wants to please Him, he wants to live for Him, and is now not able to as his sufferings have taken over his thinking and his whole life. Job wants to die and is begging God to let him die. However, even though Job is going thru such horrible pain, he still holds on to God and does not curse Him. God, help me to always have my eyes open for others who are suffering and give me the wisdom and compassion to reach out to them. Not to judge, but to encourage and give hope in You. Thank you God for always being there in times of need.

We like to talk about 'having the faith to be healed, but what about having the faith to be sick?" It takes a LOT of Faith to trust God thru sickness. I hear people talking about how it's God's will to heal us and I DEFINITELY believe it is. But too many people want to sit as judge and jury to those who don't get healed. I don't know why God heals some and not others, and I have deep concerns for people that claim they do. Here's poor Job racking his brain searching his heart high and low wondering what possible hidden sin he could've committed, while his "friend" is ragging on him for sinning. That's not a great place to be. Papa God always remind me that You agree God and I'm not.

Yes Donna, and it takes faith not to sin. We sin because we do not have faith that God will meet all our needs or like satan told Eve, God is holding out on you.

Job, here pleads with God to reveal what it is that has offended God, that he may repent, as he knows God sees all that man does. He's now asking why he's being tormented with his horrible infirmity and why God has targeted him. He obviously wants to be right before his God. It is amazing how strong Job has remained during his persecution. Help me, Lord, to stand firm in my faith when it all seems to be coming against me. There is no other God but Jehovah. Amen
