John 16:13
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

This verse speaks to me in regards to the Holy Spirit and His work in our lives. Every believer is indwelt by the Holy Spirit. He will lead us into all truth as He oversees the process of our sanctification. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior a miracle happens. We who were once dead in our trespasses and sins become alive again. We who were once separated from God for all eternity, are now reconciled to God through Christ. This is why the veil of the Temple was torn in two when Jesus died on the Cross. Jesus by His sacrifice for us became our faithful High-Priest. Therefore, through Jesus, we now have access to God the Father and the role of the High-Priest is no longer necessary. Along with our salvation comes the power of God in our lives. Our hearts have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit who takes up residence in our hearts and begins His process of transformation. After we come to faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit continues the process of spiritual growth in our lives. The process of sanctification. Without the work of the Holy Spirit we could not hear the call of God upon our lives. It's through the power and prompting and the conviction of the Holy Spirit that we come to faith in Christ and and this is important to understand effective evangelism. Also, it's the Holy Spirit who sustains us in our walk with Christ. The Holy Spirit through the process of sanctification empowers all children of God to serve Jesus, who is our Lord and Savior. It is His indwelling presence that teaches us and counsels us through our daily lives. He only speaks the Father's words to your heart. He speaks the wonderful encouraging words of Christ’s Second Coming and the eternal rewards. He assures us of the final conquest by the Kingdom of God and His glorious reign over the earth. It also reminds me that earlier Jesus said, “….I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” [John 10:10]

It was amazing to me that when I received Jesus as my Savior, the Bible came alive for me. I had read it before but it was just a bunch of words burt once I made my decision for Christ the words made sense. Thank You Holy Spirit.

I am thankful that Jesus did not leave us alone but gave the Holy Spirit. It would be impossible (as we know from the Old Testament) to live as a follower of Jesus Christ without our Helper, the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, continue to guide, teach, instruct, give wisdom, and let us know what is yet to come. Thank you. Lord.
