The enemy never likes it when God's people join together to accomplish the work of the Lord. We need to remember Nehemiah's counsel, "Don't be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and He will fight for you..." The people here in Nehemiah's day strapped a sword on their side and kept at the work. We too have a sword, the Word of God and we need to keep it close to our side. God is in control and takes care of His people.

Nehemiah 4:14 - We are all called to serve the Lord, to BUILD on our relationship with the Lord, to fight with the sword (Word of God) and to listen for the trumpet. Father in Heaven, help me to never fight with my tongue but only with Your Love and Your Word which is Love. Remind me that other’s tongue can hurt me but not harm me. When i am fearful, help me to remember You, my Lord who is great and awesome and You frustrated the plots of the enemy when i pray to You. i am thankful You gave me a heart to do Your work, may the joy of You always be my strength. Help me to keep on praying, watching and fighting the good fight until i hear the trumpet, then i am out of here.

What a Marvelous Chapter!! I worshipped while I read it! The Lord is Great and Awesome! The world may look upon us and say we are feeble. The Enemy may mock us and say we will fail, but not so, We are more than conquerors, we are the children of the Most High God who fights for us and Loves us So. We have nothing to fear, Grace is upon us, so we pray and stand firm, armored up and ready to fight, for ourselves, our families our homes.
