Nehemiah 6:9
They were all trying to frighten us, thinking, "Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed."

But I prayed, "Now strengthen my hands."

that other people will try and make you stumble, will lie to you, intimidate you etc etc, but if you keep your eye on the prize and most importantly, an eye above, and continue to pray to the Lord , you can overcome and accomplish anything.

Jesus will help us in times of persecution or trouble. Though the enemies threaten us, God will protect and deliver those who believe in His name. So whenever we feel scared, or weakened in faith and became intimidated, let’s come before the God and pray. For surely, God is an ever present help in times of trouble. Let’s learn from Nehemiah who though facing much oppositions from enemies and even from those who claim to be prophets, his friends, yet were helping his enemies, yet he continued to press on and completed the work given to him by God. Hardships do not make the faithful lose hope, but they help them to build character and perseverance in Christ.

Nehemiah stayed focused on Gods will no matter what or who would threaten him and the people while rebuilding the wall... Nehemiah always had faith that God would provide direction, wisdom and meet all their needs... Nehemiah never doubted or gave into fear he showed those helping him how strong and loving God is and also showed all the enemies that it was truly God at work in rebuilding the wall... We also have the same love and provision from God and we have the grace & mercy through Jesus, I pray we can all grow and rely on God for direction and truly trust God to protect and provide all our needs as we go forth serving and revealing Gods plan for each of our lives.. We to will face much resistance from others in many forms that can produce doubt, fear and physical and mental anguish but like Nehemiah we can truly trust and place our faith in God that he will provide answers , protection and comfort in all we face as we diligently seek his will and place our faith in him alone. God has never changed and I praise and thank God for his unfailing, unchanging love and while we were still separated by our sin he provided Jesus our Lord and Savior to reunite us eternally ... We truly are blessed and can face each day knowing like Nehemiah that God will hear our prayers and provide all we need now and eternally. Lord I pray we can seek and praise you in all we face each day ... With perseverance and faith I trust you will be glorified in our lives as we stay under the wings of your precious love... that your will be done and all who seek to destroy your plan will answer to you and acknowledge that you are Holy and loving full of mercy and grace in Jesus our Lord and Savior. May we seek and obey you each day and find comfort in knowing you will direct our paths and protect & provide all our needs. May we all serve and live our lives seeking your plan as Nehemiah did and in doing so reflect Gods love to others.
