Nehemiah, gave assurance to the people of Israel, and that they should celebrate with assurance, the love of the Lord for His people. We today, who have received the Lord Jesus into our lives, need to celebrate with that same assurance, that He is our salvation.

As I am growing with my walk with God and learning to lean on Him, I can say, "the joy of the Lord is my strength." As I look on my journey however, I see I had to go thru steps and stages. First, seeing my sins and feeling so sorry for participating in them and having control over me, and seeing this made me weep and depressed me that I could have been so weak. But now that I am learning to completely rely on my God for help and knowing that He has forgiven me, I have joy in my Lord and He is making me stronger everyday. Thank you God for forgiving me and being with me everyday giving me Your love and please continue to give me strength to face whatever comes my way that I can't handle on my own. This joy of the Lord was true for the people when Nehemiah said it many years ago and is still true today!
