Exodus 40:38
So the cloud of the Lord was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the Israelites during all their travels.

How I wish I could see these things with my own eyes. I look forward to the beyond when the eyes of my spirit will reveal to me His awesomeness first hand!

Exodus 37:2
He overlaid it with pure gold, both inside and out, and made a gold molding around it.

Certainly no shortage of gold. They must have had tons of it!

Exodus 36:3
They received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to carry out the work of constructing the sanctuary. And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning.

Frank M. from New Castle, VA said:
Freewill offerings are what God desires from us. Not necessarily 10%. One who has much and can give more than 10% may be stifled because he feels he has done his part. One who can't afford much at the time but is compelled to give 10% because of expectations, does not give from the heart.

Exodus 35:35
He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers.

Human talents/skills are from God. It is not just that I am good at this or that; but that God has blessed me with being good at things. What He has given me through these blessings is more than I can repay. Praise to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!

Exodus 34:20
Redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem all your firstborn sons.

"No one is to appear before me empty-handed.

The firstborn are dedicated to God. The animals were for sacrifice, but the sons were for living sacrifice to serve God in the temple and what ever capacity they are capable of. A calling to those of us today who are firstborn and otherwise. Are we fullfilling our purpose before God? Light my path and direct my steps so that others may be blessed through me for You, oh Lord, my loving Lord!

Exodus 33:22
When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.

That would be so awesome to even be near as God passed by in our dimension. If His hand is big enough to cover Moses' view, He must have manifested in a form 20 to 30 feet tall!

Exodus 32:24
So I told them, 'Whoever has any gold jewelry, take it off.' Then they gave me the gold, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf!"

Frank M. from New Castle, VA said:
Aaron is attempting to deceive Moses: Aaron took the LEAD role in collecting gold, melting it down and fashioning a calf with tools, but says Then they gave me the gold, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf!". Aaron attempts to deflect blame from himself. He was consecrated by God, but If he had been loyal to Moses and God or somewhat of a righteous/holy man he would have taken a stand for God and prevented this farce that resulted in thousands being slaughtered and the rest wandering the desert for 40 more years. Why he is allowed to live, but Anannias and Sapphira are struck dead for a lie is beyond me.

Exodus 31:15
For six days work is to be done, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day is to be put to death.

Some pursue work like idolitry; working so much that relationships grow cold. This leads one away from trusting God and towards leaning on ones own two hands. Those who work less and give more are richer than those who work more and give less.

All who cross over, those twenty years old or more, are to give an offering to the Lord.

An indication that one is considered to be an adult and should be engaged in work by the age of twenty. Not always so in todays culture.

Exodus 29:18
Then burn the entire ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the Lord, a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the Lord.

Frank M.
Frank M. from New Castle, VA said:
I find this fascinating and mysterious that a burnt offering presents a pleasing aroma to God. Is the aroma symbolic or literal?
Bruno V.
Bruno V. from Vallejo, CA said:
I think it would be literal Frank. That's because if the "aroma" is "pleasing" to the Lord, then it is an actual "physical" substance. It's the same with Luke 16:19-31, the story about the rich man, the begger and hell. Some say it's symbolic, others say literal. Again, I think it's literal because this is the only parable that Jesus mentions specific names and secondly, it deminstrates the gab between heaven and hell. That's my take on it. ( :

It makes sense that since God can be pleased by our worship and song, He would also be pleased by aromas and other things that exist in our temporal realm. One can imagine He is also pleased by types of art, architecture and many other things. God is in perfect tune with physical and spiritual existence and can touch, see, hear and smell things of past present and future, (physical/spiritual); therefore as we work on getting in tune with God the same can become available to us. Just imagine...
