1 Corinthians 6:17
But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

In this chapter Paul's admonishments and chastisements are strong warnings! In 17 He gives them the perfect solution to avoiding all these temptations and pitfalls. Whoever is united with the Lord is one with Him. If we are filled with the Spirit, and we are if we are believers, we are united with Christ and one with Him in spirit, therefore when temptation comes we are better equipped to avoid it. Stay true to the Spirit within you!

1 Corinthians 5:11
But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

Is Paul writing to us today? I believe he is. Churches today want to present a face of loving tolerance in order to increase numbers maybe hoping by tolerating these thing some will change and be converted. I can't help but think God is not pleased with this level of watered down truth. Yes we must, as Jesus commanded love our neighbor as ourselves but allowing these things to continue in the lives of people who profess to be believers is not tolerance and especially not love. If we love them we will, as Jesus did, rebuke and chastise in love so that they may correct the sins and be restored. This is not a "politically correct" entry but it is a scripturally correct one.

It never ceases to amaze me how some things in scripture are overlooked by me as I study specific things. I have been a Christian for most of my life but only the last 4 years have been spent in in depth study. This passage brought out to me the fact that God had planned for the gentiles salvation from the beginning. I get so wrapped up in the study of the rescue and salvation of the Jews from the Old Testament that I overlooked this point. God always has something new to show me each time I read His Word. Thank you God!

Romans 13:1
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

God is in control and contrary to what we may believe He is aware of the present circumstances of our world and government at this time. It is a part of His plan for us and our future. This will be worked out for the good of those who hold fast to His truth and are not led into the things Satan is controlling at this time. Read the book of Revelation for insights.......Jesus wins!!

neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I trust in God's word I know His promises and like Paul I believe that nothing can separate us from God except we ourselves walk away. Once knowing and believing this how can anyone turn away? It is our responsibility as believers to try to return them to the fold by prayer and example.

God will always restore His people after a time of mourning and repentance. When He restores it is always 100 fold as in the case of Job. God will not allow His people to continue in sin without punishment but He will always reward a contrite and repentant heart.

I trust in this verse from the Old Testament, Though it is slightly out of context the way it is used and preached today it still conveys the same message as it did to the exiles. God will always plan for the good of His people though it may not be evident at the time. His plans are perfect as is His timing.

The key to the restoration of a fallen nation! America take heed! Wake up Christians! We have been too long asleep and corruption has overtaken our nation! On our knees let us pray, repent and ask God to once again bless this mighty nation founded on His laws and precepts!
