1 Corinthians 1:31
Therefore, as it is written: "Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord."
Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Key Phrase "Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord." Boasting is not befitting a child of God, that is boasting in ones self. Jeremiah 9: 23-24 This is what the Lord says: "Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one boast about this: that they have the understanding to know Me that I am the Lord who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in this I delight," declares the Lord. I am not ashamed of Christ, He shed His Blood for me.

This reminds us that this life, this calling, this existance is not all about "me". If we are able to accomplish anyting for our Lord, it will be only through Him that we do it. Therefore, any "boasting" we may feel ready to do must be in the Lord. And Yes we MUST boast in the Lord, otherwise others will think that our abilities, wisdom, prowess, etc., comes from us. And we KNOW it doesn't.

To me, this means that because worldly ways are not wise according to God we can not boast on ourselves. If we become wise according to Gods standards then we must boast about him because he made us wise.

In my shop I make it very apparent that we are believers in Christ and I love it when people come in for prayer or just need someone to listen, And when I get the opportunity to boast about our God and all that he has done for us it is excilerating, God is Awsome!

He is the one we should be boasting the Lord not what others have accomplished. The Lord is the one who has made possible for them to be who they are and so should give credit where credit is due our Lord Jesus Christ.

I believe that there is not one thing of this world to boast about. I believe that we all should boast about our Heavenly Father and His son our Lord Jesus Christ because with out them we would have nothing. So give the praise where it is do. I believe that we should always be thankful and praising the Holy Family.
