Esther 9:21
to have them celebrate annually the fourteenth and fifteenth days of the month of Adar

At first I wanted to comment on how the request Ester made to continue the second day was troubling but then was led to this. For the Jewish community to carry out a commitment to remember days that shaped their people is noble. Good or bad it's not erased so they know where they heading and history they don't need to repeat. In our society today things have gotten so far out of control that there are groups fighting to erase our history. Good or bad it's our history and if next generations don't get a clear picture of where we began and how we were shaped as a nation So that he can build on the good and mend the bad we are heading to failure. We must protect our history good and bad and respect those who helped us to get where we are.
