Galatians 4:17
Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you from us, so that you may have zeal for them.

Paul is concerned for his students/children so to speak, he feels they are being led astray and not following what he taught them about God's word. I feel he looked upon them as students/children as he was their teacher when he was among them teaching about God's love, mercy, etc.

Not everyone that gives you attention or is anxious to win you over is good for you. What they want is to alienate you from what is good. They want you to be anxious for them. You have to know who is good and who is good for you. Do not flip flop between what is not good and what is. God is good always and his word is written for good and is always the same. Do not allow anyone to fool you for whom they are not.

Be zealous for what is good in Jesus Christ, do not allow anyone who is zealous to win you over for no good. We are no longer under the law but under the Spirit of God be zealous for him alone.
