Its kind of hard to understand the customs of the early culture. I wonder if the blessing of the father was like a will, passing down to the next generation the blessings and prosperity to the eldest son. But if received but the younger, just like a will, it becomes binding. And interesting how God honors the decisions and choices we make, even when clouded in deception. Our decisions matter. Our choices are real. That's why we are admonished not to conform to this world, this world's view of how to do things but rather to trust God's Way of truth and grace
