When we are faithful to the Lord, He is faithful to us and grants us His favor....even comforting us while in prison, whether that prison be physical or spiritual... God is with us (Emmanuel)

God's blessing was upon Joseph. God had a plan and all of this was apart of Joseph's training. To us slavery and prison would seem like God's discipline yet God knew a famine was coming and He had His deliverer in Egypt in training. He would ultimately use Joseph to save the Jewish people from the famine and bring them to Egypt as He promised Abraham. Could it be that when we are in the midst of the trial of our lives God may be at work in us to use us in somebody elses life in the future?

Why do bad things happen to good people? Joseph didn't focus on that. He knew in his heart that he did the right thing by running away, even though he could not prove it. So he continued to do what he knew was right. To do his best in what situation he was put in. And God Blessed him

What an excellent example for ourselves, that Joseph has shown. My all time favorite Bible portrayal.
