Job 9:33
If only there were someone to mediate between us,
someone to bring us together,
Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Key words: " If only there were someone to mediate between us." From Genesis to Revelation there are signs that point to Jesus, a mediator between God and sinful man. And at this point in Jobs life, he had a need for a mediator. (which he did) 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.

Job wanted there to be someone to mediate between him and God. God sent His Son to approach Him on our behalf, what an awesome gift we have received.

Job wished for a mediator to step in and mediate his case before God. All of us need a mediator and God provided us one. "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all men. (1 Timothy 2:5-6a)

Job 9:33 - This is so sad. Job is a super duper good person who is suffering more than my mind or stomach wants to imagine. Job knows about God but Job doesn’t KNOW God. Job wants to know God, Job wants to see and hear from God but so far he cannot. So many people today don’t want to know God. They are afraid if they find The Truth, they will be in big trouble. Something like finding a growth on your body and not going to the doctors in fear of finding out what it is. As we all know, if the growth is cancerous they will eventually get to the doctors but it will be too late (unless God intervenes of course). There is a day coming when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, but for many, it will be too late. Thank You Jesus for being my Arbitrator, my Advocate, my Mediator, the One who lays His Hand upon me, the One who knew no sin but became sin so that i may be clothed in the righteousness of God. Thank You living to intercede on my behalf. You are the One who is able to keep me from falling and You will present be blameless. You are the love of my life, i love You with all my heart, soul and strength. Thanks for loving me first.

Yes, if only he had Jesus and his mediator. If only he had Jesus teaching about the strong man and the invisible Kingdom in Eph 6. Jesus, Thank you sooooo much for leaving the awesome glory of Heaven to zip up a human suit and come down here to become one of us. In heaven you Were worshipped and adored, down here, you were despised, spat upon, and abused beyond belief or recognition. You knew You'd be going back up there...You kept Your eye on the prize, the goal of the cross and all it stood for. You knew that life was a vapor and then You'd be back in Heaven. Help me to always remember to keep my eye on the prize of Heaven for me and to help as many others as possible to get there also. I love You, Jesus.

This shows me how very much I need Jesus as my mediator to stand in the gap for me and my many blemishes and sin so that when God the Father looks on me he only sees Jesus and therefore I am saved!
