This passage, and particularly this verse, shows that Joshua had taken up the mantle of Moses, because he was worthy as he was obedient to the commands of the Lord. The Lord had once again shown His mighty hand, by stopping the Jordan River's flow so that the Israelites could cross on dry land, just as they had through the Red Sea. The power of our Lord is consistent, even to this day. Hallelujah. AMEN. Isaiah 26:4 Trust in Jehovah forever; for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.
