I am reminded of the story of the virgins. The ones who were wise kept their lamps full of oil and their wicks trimmed in a state of readiness. Not so with the foolish ones. As Christians we are first of all required to be obedient to the Word of God. Secondly, we must "tend" to our "lights" prepared for whatever and where ever God leads us. The tending requires fueling our minds through prayer and meditation on a regular basis giving the very best I have to give always. I can't be an on again,off again Christian.
