As we see through out this chapter and in this verse infirmities have no power over the authority of Jesus. Faith is again a big part in any healing, without faith no person will experience healing. And as Christians we have Faith our sins are forgiven, and sins that are forgiven result in a healing. "Take Heart son (or daughter) your sins are Forgiven."

Sounds to me like the guy on the mat didn't have as much faith as the guys who were carrying him had, so Jesus told him to take heart. Sometimes our faith is weaker for ourselves than for other people's. It seems sometimes like God answers my prayers for other people when He hasn't answered mine for me. I guess this all goes along with that whole "one another, koininia" thing. I also noticed that Jesus dealt first with the man's brokenness, then his sin, then he healed him. I believe Jesus was showing that it's much better to be healed from the inside out. This whole scene got quite a reaction from and began an important conversation with the scribes and Pharisees. They accused Him of blasphemy. They saw Him claiming to do something only God could do. Then He said, But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins. I hear people say, "Jesus never claimed to be God, or the son of God, but this is the second chapter in this book where Jesus referred to Himself as God. I found it curious that Jesus then told the guy to see to it that he told no one about this incident. That's almost comical to think that someone lame being healed and walking around first of all would be so happy he'd wanna tell everyone. But also, everyone that knew him would know anyway. Also, it's human nature that when we're told not to do something to do it. Perhaps instead of encouraging Christians to witness and share their faith, the church should tell them not to tell anyone. Jesus hung out with and ministerd to the tax collectors, prostitutes and other dregs of society, and those are the people He healed. I don't remember seeing anywhere in the gospels that He healed a Pharisee or scribe, who were filled with religious pride and arrogance. Papa God Thank You that Jesus came to seek and save the lost dregs of society. Please don't ever let me forget where I came from and become a Pharisee, so filled with religious pride that my heart is hard and I don't receive from You.

Jesus can see our faith to save who these we brought to him. it is a good news for me. he love us, he will also love our family and our friend.

Faith demands action. James said that faith without works is dead. He meant that faith, without the corresponding action showing your belief, is worthless. ACT like your faith is alive! You believe God heals the sick? THEN LAY HANDS ON THEM AND PRAY FOR HEALING! Take that step of faith!

Faith in Christ results in forgiveness of our sins. Just as our bodies are healed so are our souls.

It is too difficult to select just one verse today, therefore I will not, I will select three. And the three verses that stood out to me today are verses 2, 6, and 8. I woke up this morning with two scriptures resignating in my mind: "And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied [it]. (Mk. 14:20-AMP) and "And now, Lord, observe their threats and grant to Your bond servants [full freedom] to declare Your message fearlessly, while You stretch out Your hand to cure and to perform signs and wonders through the authority and by the power of the name of Your holy Child and Servant Jesus." (Acts 4:29-30-AMP). When I read those two scriptures this morning, prior to reading Matthew 9, I felt my heart smile. Here my Father is showing me how our partnership works. Then I read Matthew 9 and starting with verse two I see that partnership again. It says, Jesus saw the men's faith (that's awesome in it self, He didn't see the situation first but their faith). Anyway, the men took the sick man to Jesus (i.e. took to him the good news, the gospel) and Jesus backed them/ supported them with removing his sins and healing him. WOW! THEN in verse 6, He says, I did this so you will KNOW my power and authority here on earth (John 17:21). And to top it all off, He did this to show us that WE TOO have the same power and authority in verse 8. Good news, it can't get better than this. "Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of ) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and ] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]- To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen." Eph. 3:20-21
