Revelation 1:3
Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

6Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. Out of all 66 books of the bible this is the only one that promises a blessing to those who read and 33 take to heart what it says. No wonder there's so much division in the body of Christ over it that most pastors just quit teaching from it all due to fear that their sheeple will get offended and leave, taking their tithe dollars with them. Jesus said the love of money is the root of all evil. You can't get much more evil than to disobey God when He promises to bless you because you're participating with the enemy and keeping the blessing from your flock in fear of offending them with the truth. These pastors. Will not hear "well done" when they stand before God. Father please give me the boldness to share the inconvenient truth being willing to be undignified, just like David was when he danced before you while his wife looked down her nose at him. You showed her what was and wasn't important as she remained barren the rest of her life...an outward manifestation of the inward condition of her heart. I love You more than any fear of man and am willing to be even more undignified than this if I know it'll bring glory to You, and bring another lost person to You.

Many Blessing and Promises for reading the words spoken here. Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of Life and may go through the gates into the City. Amen

My understanding of this verse may seem a little shallow, but I can't help but feel encouraged to read and re-read this book because of the blessing that is promised right in the beginning. If we are going to be blessed at all, we must believe, trust and obey God's word, believing that God said what He meant and that He meant what He said. I've already been blessed by the teachings in this book, but this is what's so amazing about God's Word--there are still more blessings in store and I look forward to yet another read and this time perhaps sharing with some of you in the PTL community.

I so believe, Yvonne, that there should be more preaching and teaching on this book of Revelation than we experience in most churches. It is a clear warning to some churches and a reprimand to others. I believe all of our churches fall into one of these following messages from Jesus, (God) through John. I fully believe that the seven churches each represent churches on earth today. God bless.

I believe what Lloyd said is true,Revelation represents Churchs today and more Pastors should spend time teaching this book. This is my favorite book and the one I have studied the most. I have only scratched the surface of understanding this book but each time God opens up more understanding for me.These are facts that the the world one day will have to face, like it or not. Our pastor taught about 20 hours on Revelation about a year ago And I put it on cds.

We should look forward to being blessed as we read and take heart (heed) what we read in this book of Revelation because, indeed the time is near. Open our eyes Lord to see and hear what you want us to see and hear. Give us your wisdom and understanding Holy Spirit as you are our teacher.
