Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ken J.
Ken J. from Nakusp, BC said:
Christ died a cruel death on that cross so that I, who believe in Him, may be set free from sin. I thank my God and Saviour for the price He paid for sinful me and for taking all my sins past, present and future upon Himself so that I can come before God in righteousness and live forever. All the Glory to Jesus my Lord.

Now as Christians, believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, must ask forgiveness for our sins and live as God wants us to, not in sin.

Eternal life is a free gift from God. If it's a gift, then it is not something that we earn or something that must be paid back. Consider the foolishness of someone who receives a gift given out of love and then offers to pay for it. A gift cannot be purchased by the recipient. A more appropriate response to a loved one who offers a gift is graceful acceptance with gratitude. Or salvation is a gift of God, not something of our own doing (Eph. 2:8-9). He saved us because of his mercy, not because of any righteous things that we have done (Titus 3:5). How much more we should accept with thanksgiving the gift that God has freely given to us.

This is such a precious, valuable statement and truth. Those who have not yet received Christ will perish and suffer immense pain for eternity but those who have, and will receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives will live in the presence of Christ in total piece, also for eternity. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your most precious gift..!!

If we remain slaves of sin we will surely die, but if we become slaves to righteousness we will live eternally. Enough said?
