Zechariah 13:1
"On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity.

Can you imagine, before Christ, what it was like to continue to wait for the promised Messiah? I don't think it was the same as now, when we wait for His return. First of all, we have the promise that what He said is true, because He showed up the first time and did all that was said He would do. Second, we have the presence of the Holy Spirit within us, to help us, guide us, comfort us. But verses like this, whether actually referring to Christ or not, remind me of the many prophecies that point towards Him. They give us confirmation that everything that was prophesied about Him, even thousands of years ago, is true.

Key words: A fountain(living water) will be opened. This is Gods remedy for sin and uncleanness. The whole aim of the fountain, is that the Lord God who remembers all, will remember their sins and uncleanness no more.

Amen, Peter. And the true church, repentant followers of Christ, will be those who are deemed inhabitants of Jerusalem. Be blessed, my brother in Christ, as we wait and pray for that glorious day of His coming. Hallelujah...!!!

Zechariah 13:1 - On that day Jesus’ feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. On that day living water (Jesus is the Living Water) will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it east to the Dead Sea and half of it west to the Mediterranean Sea, in summer and in winter. (Zechariah 14) “Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds--like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea.” (Ezekiel 47:10). Actually, the healing water began when a soldier pierced Jesus’ side. That water (The Gospel) will continue to increase as it flows healing everything and everyone the Water touches. It is Jesus who brings life to the dead and calls all people (rich, poor, good, evil, young, old, Jew and Gentile) to come to the Living Water. “Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let the one who hears say, "Come!" Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life” (Revelation 22:17) Father in Heaven, Revelation 22:17 says, “ the bride say, COME!” All the way into the last chapter of Your Word, You are still reminding us to invite people to COME and taste and see that the LORD is good. (Psalm 34)
