One of the most insidious tactics satan uses on us, is suggesting that our God is not listening to our prayers, or is not taking care of the poor, or of not punishing the wicked. My God does hear our prayers,, He does feed the poor and He does punish the wicked,But in His own way and in His own time. Praise be to God

Matthew 3:11

John was the fore runner for Jesus, spoken of many times in the Bible. Baptism in water is a symbolic act even to today.... what really matters is Jesus baptizing us with the Holy Spirit and with his fire and passion for each of us.. His two great commandments... Love the Lord your God, with all your heart, mind, spirit and power, and love one another as I have loved you.... He baptizes us with fire to share the gospel and there is no better way that to share it with the Gospel of John

God made sure Jesus would fulfill his destiny. He warned the magi not to return to Herod. He warned Joseph to go to Egypt. He warned Joseph to go to Nazareth in the Galilee. He did all this to make sure Jesus would save you and me.

What first appears as a negative event in our lives often portends a blessing from God if we pause and feflect on the situation. Leviticus 25:18
" 'Follow my decrees and be careful to obey my laws, and you will live safely in the land.

Brian K. from Harvey, LA said:
Whenever we don't obey God's laws our body reacts in the form of stress. Accumulated stresses work against us and may enable diseases or degenerate different parts of our body. When we are living in accord with God's laws, with what is right, we are eliminating those self inflicted stresses. That means we have a healthier body, more able to deal with the stresses that the world may create for us. Through this verse God is telling me to live according to his Word that I might enjoy life and all that God holds for me.
