BREAD FOR THE BODY AND THE SOUL

Behind a table filled with loaves of bread, soup packets, and Gospels of John, Pastor Paul is standing with a smile on his face and a pocket-sized Gospel in his hand. He explains cheerfully,

They are hungry, so we are giving them bread and soup for their body and we are also providing them with the Bread of Life for their souls because their souls need the Bread of Life.

The Mizpah Fellowship in Bloemfontein, South Africa is aiming to reach at least 1000 households with this particular Gospel outreach. This park outreach means 1000 South African families will hear the message of the Gospel and be introduced to Jesus! Pastor Paul and the Mizpah Fellowship are meeting the needs of the local people, both physical and spiritual, and desire to continue sharing hope with the people of Bloemfontein.

REVIVAL IN KENYA

Kenya Crusade is working hard to reach young people in Kenya with the Word of God using pocket-sized Gospels of John.

The group uses pocket-sized Gospels of John—in both English and Swahili—as gifts for new believers that have recently accepted the Lord and to introduce students in the area to Jesus for the first time.

This year, the group started a feeding project in Kenya for kids. Every child that attends receives a meal and a Gospel of John.

“Hundreds of people have come to the Lord, and we give Jesus all the glory!” he explains.

At one event at a local school, hundreds of students were gifted a Gospel and encouraged to read it and allow the Lord to lead their lives. The students were happy to receive the Gospel and left the assembly waving their new Gospels in excitement.

Through these outreach opportunities, Kenya Crusade has a goal of reaching 1 million students in 24 months. So far, over 50,000 students have now heard the Gospel through pocket-sized Gospels distributed by Kenya Crusade.

MEDITATING ON GOD’S WORD

Faith is a student in Nigeria who was encouraged to complete the 21-Day Challenge. To take the challenge, a person must read one chapter of John each day for 21 days. Faith decided to accept the challenge and is so glad that she did!

“This 21 Day Challenge has really built my spiritual life,” she explains. “Seeing how powerful Jesus was throughout the Gospel of John has helped me to put my faith in God. Because of Him, I will never give up no matter the situation.”

After spending time in the Word for 21 Days, Faith not only gained greater knowledge of who God is, she also created a habit that is sure to stick with her for the rest of her life.

“By taking the 21 Day Challenge, I have been able to develop a consistent quiet time and prayer life so I am growing with God!”

COMPLETE FAITH

Ada shared, “I thought being ‘Born Again’ was a mockery term until I read the Gospel of John. On the 3rd day of reading, I saw that being born again means having a relationship with Jesus.”

In that moment, Ada dedicated her life to Jesus. She prayed and surrendered her life to Him and His will.

“Even though I grew up in a Christian home—and believed I had faith because of it—I realized it was a different reality after reading the Gospel. I discovered that my relationship with Jesus was half-baked. After reading, I now have complete faith in Jesus!”

Ada is excited to share the knowledge she has gained with the people God places in her life. She believes that the Gospel is a great tool to enter into conversations with other Christians, Muslims, and anyone else God may place in her path. “The Gospel opens the heart for conversation!” she exclaims.

A LIFESTYLE OF EVANGELISM

Tom has often introduced himself to people as "Good News Tom” while he offers them a PTL Gospel of John.

People need hope, God loves them, and Tom wants people to know that Jesus Christ is their only hope. As missionaries in Johannesburg, South Africa for many years, Tom and his wife Marilyn have been helping people meet Jesus with the Gospels of John around their community. Tom says sharing the Gospels is his lifestyle.

People know Tom carries Gospels, and they seek him out to get Gospels to share with others. Whenever possible, Tom and Marilyn take the time to have conversations with the people they meet, while they simply offer the gift of the Gospel.

Tom and Marilyn use the illustration in the front of the Gospel booklet to lead those who are ready in the prayer of salvation. They are also teaching and encouraging their grandchildren to invite their friends to meet Jesus with the Gospels and live a lifestyle of personal evangelism.
