Andrei and Natasha have three daughters: 10 years old, 5 years old, and a 9-month-old baby. The family lived near Odesa, Ukraine. Then there were air-raid sirens and they had to stay in shelters for a long time. A military base and an air defense system were set up close to where they lived. Ultimately, they were forced to flee. Now, as refugees in Moldova, they go to the Christian evacuation facility. They are well received and loved on by League Partners who run the facility.
The talk of Jesus and God remind Natasha of her grandmother. She was a Christian. Natasha shares her memories, “We went to see her in the village every weekend. Our grandmother dressed us up on Sunday and took us to church. We would spend the whole day with her there."
Now Natasha’s children ask their daddy to read them the Bible before they go to bed. As they process all they are enduring, as they read the Bible together, it helps them to go through stress and gives them hope. They are meeting Jesus.
