2 Corinthians 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Regina R. from Palmetto, GA said:
No matter what goes on in this world, no matter the trials I face (TEMPORARY), I can ever look to and fix my eyes on Jesus who is the Author and Finisher of my faith. I fix my eyes on God's Word, His love, His grace, His mercy, His power (ETERNAL). The ETERNAL trumps the TEMPORARY...every time!

Donna S. from Mc Rae, GA said:
We have to live by faith and not by sight. We have to live by this because Jesus knew the world was going to be against us, and not for us. We have to get what we need by prayer and petition before the Lord. He has chosen us so therefore the world does not like us, and he said that we would be hated by the world. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

Odd to think of fixing your eyes on what is unseen. How would you know you've done it? I think verse sixteen speaks a bit of the process. What God works in us as we work with him is unseen; in fact, if you point it out and try to see it, you lose it! Think of having an inward humility. If you go and tell someone, "Look at my humility!" you've lost it. Our Father rewards us in secret.

Can you belive in something you can't see, feel or touch? Look around you at all the wonders that exsist. Look at the glorious colors, experience the birth of a child. Do al these things just happen or is there a plan and rythm to the changing of the seasons and the journey from birth to death? Who set all off this in motion? " In the Beginng was the word and the word was with God". I know and trust Him!

When I think about it, this statement is so true. The things we see today will eventually be gone but the horrors of hell and the glory of heaven will be everlasting. I thank the Lord Jesus that He rescued me from the destruction of the seen world and the horror of hell. Yes, much of the world we see is beautiful but life on this earth pales desperately compared to the glory of heaven. (1 Cor. 2:9)
