Job 19:25
I know that my redeemer lives,
and that in the end he will stand on the earth.

Angela G. from North Myrtle Beach, SC said:
Thank you Lord for our redeemer. Jesus Christ who intercedes on our behalf for true sins as well as false charges. Job even in his darkest moment was confident that he would be redeemed and kept strong in his faith even though the whole world had turned against him.

Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
We know that Job suffered much, and yet his faith was not destroyed, but with great authority Job was comforted knowing that his redeemer lives. He was confident that the Lord would come and that he would enjoy the Lords presence beyond his death. As believers in Jesus Christ, one day we will stand in the presence of God for all Eternity.

Job has never stopped believing in God. Job does not know about Jesus but talks about His return. Lord, I pray for the strength of Job when faced with the trials of this world. Help me to stand strong and never waiver from your word.

Even after so much accusation and demeaning by family and supposed friends, Job stands firm in his trust in God, and as I see it, this statement shows he is even prophesying that Christ will stand on earth. Job is such an example for us in these last days.

Job's belief in the resurrection was powerful considering the little scripture he would have had. Job's Redeemer is our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Jesus died for Job's sin the same time He died for ours. Because our Redeemer lives, Job lives and because our Redeemer lives we too will live forever with Him. "Sing oh sing of my Redeemer, With His blood He purchased me, On the cross He sealed my pardon, Paid the debt and made me free!"

Amen, Terry. Hallelujah. It will be great to someday meet Job, such an example for us. God bless.

The his very prophetic. Job believes in the resurrection (and rapture) of the dead. God by His spirit must have revealed that to Job just as the Holy Spirit revealed to Peter that Jesus is the Son of God.

After all Job had gone thru, he can still say this. That's amazing. I'm sure he can't understand why God is now acting so completely out of character with what he's always believed about him. He probably feels that there must be some way to recover his friendship with God, but he's just not sure how. The billious pontifications and theological calculus his "friends" are laying out aren't the way. He knows in his heart that he hasn't sinned in some agregious way and His Redeemer is still alive and is his nearest relative (there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother). Papa God please give me strength to endure and always know that You, my Redeemer lives and will indeed stand on this earth to rule and reign in majesty, righteousness, mercy and justice for all. That You will wipe away every tear from our eyes. That every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God our Father. Hallelujah!
