Praise and worship of the LORD was a key priority at that time, as it should be with believers today. I recall years ago, in the 1990s, when the Airport Church in Toronto was alive with praise and worship. There were thousands of people from all over the world, and the worship would last for extended periods, with Holy Spirit flooding the place with His presence. The Lord enjoys the praises of His people, and I expect we are about to see that happen again very soon. Hallelujah.

The wall was finished and the people acknowledged it was the Lord who needed to be praised. Imagine being there on that day to hear the two choirs singing praise to God along with everyone else lifting up their voices in praise and thanksgiving. God is worthy of praise. Imagine everyday what praise is offered up to the Lord around the world that is heard by the ears of God. Think of the praise that goes on in heaven. Let us determine to join in on praising God for who He is and for what He has done for us.

God had given them great joy and they rejoiced. As I read this today, this is exactly how I felt as God had answered a prayer for me. He lifted a burden from me and I have been rejoicing all day. This chapter shows a willingness and obviously an excitement about worshiping the Lord. I believe that is being restored in this time as I watch organizations like International House of prayer and thousands of other houses of prayer that have been, and are being established around the world. The IHOP Kansas City Convention in January 2014 had over 30,000 attending people with an excitement and worship that lasted for hours at a time. Holy Spirit is moving around the world and I believe Christians are becoming more bold about their faith. Thank You, Lord for stirring the hearts of Your people.
