Nehemiah 7:5
So my God put it into my heart to assemble the nobles, the officials and the common people for registration by families. I found the genealogical record of those who had been the first to return. This is what I found written there:

The walls were built but God's work was not done. Nehemiah now was going about the business of organizing the town and people. The walls were built so that they could worship and begin to rebuild the community. He was wise and appointed a leader, his brother, knowing that he had other important work to do. Nehemiah seems to never tire in his work for the Lord he found glory in all he did he didn't have to be the one in charge he only had to be satisfied in the work God gave him in his heart. With each victory he grew deeper and deeper in his faith. Lord help me to know my part and your will for me and to humble and excited to accomplish whatever you put in my heart

Nehemiah followed what God told him to do and because of that he was blessed.

Rebuilding a Nation is not building walls, its the people. For the people to be people of God, we need to return and worship God. God's ultimate desire is building a people of God.

Amen, Peter. I pray that we as His church (His people) will hear His voice and walk according to His plan, and that the body of Christ will work together to accomplish what He has planned. Blessings, brother Peter.

God put it in Nehemiah to assemble the people for registration and to resettle them in the city and rebuild this city. There were few people in the city and the houses had not yet been built, but it has to start somewhere. God called Nehemiah to start from scratch and build up the city. It was hard but Nehemiah took the calling. Sometimes God call us to do something, but we hesitate. We stop and ponder to see if we can do it instead of considering who call us to do it. If God calls us what then do we fear? How do we then know if God calls us to do something? God put it into your heart!

Yes, Derek, and if we doubt, we can ask and He'll confirm for us.
