1 Chronicles 5:20
They were helped in fighting them, and God delivered the Hagrites and all their allies into their hands, because they cried out to him during the battle. He answered their prayers, because they trusted in him.

We should follow their example and cry out to God. We should trust in the Lord for deliverance.

Key phrase here, "He answered their prayers, because they trusted in Him." God delivered their enemies into their hands because they trusted the Lord. Prov 3:5  "Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding." A great lesson for us as believers today during the current COVID-19 pandemic, that He will deliver us through it, and draw us closer to Him.

You nailed it Lloyd, prayers answered and trust in the Lord is key, all through out scripture. And God will deliver us from this pandemic, for His Breath is in our lungs and we are covered in the Blood of Jesus. May the Blessings of God continue to be upon you on this Lords Day and every day til He Returns. Have you seen or heard of the movie Before The Wrath.

God answered their prayers because of their trust in him. God answers our prayers when we call out to him and have faith. Lord, help me to have the faith of a mustard seed, to know that you always hear our prayers and you always answer them. Maybe not how we think they should be answered but you answer them according to your will and your plan.

Prayer is a powerful weapon the men cried out to God and their prayer was answered, they trusted in God. This verse reveals to us how prayer unleashes the Power of God into our lives. Prayer will help us be blessed by God, help us win the battles we are in, and protect us from harm. And I will do whatever you ask in my name. so that the Son may bring Glory to the Father (John 14:13) You may ask anything in my name. and I will do it.(John 14:14) Prayer and fasting helps us helps us see through the eyes of Faith.

How after they trusted God and he then answered their prayers did they just sink into the worship of the gods of the people that were delivered into their hands. I verse 25 they were unfaithful to God. We must all be careful with who's company we keep before we know it we will be justifying our actions instead of trusting in God.

1 Chronicles 5:20 - They cried out "during" the battle. Once again God is reminding me how much He wants me to pray. Sometimes i forget to pray before the battle, or before the meal or before anything and everything. Sometimes i try to figure things out on my own first, like when i get lost, i see the clock ticking and i start to panic or get frustrated then I call out to God. Help me Father, i am going to be late or i am getting dizzy making all these U-turns. God doesn't get mad and say, if you would have asked 5 minutes ago, I would have helped you, but TOO LATE, you are on your own, good luck. No, God smiles and maybe shakes His head with a smile and helps me get to where i need to be. God, You’re so good to me, You've always been so good to me, i’ll sing it through eternity, God You’re so good. i want to sing your praise, all night long and every day, i’ll stand and worship you, my whole life through.

The last sentence in this Scripture, " He answered their prayers, because they trusted in him" is the one that I be believe many believers do not do. We pray to God to do such and such, but then we attempt to accomplish, ourselves, what we asked God to do or provide for us, because we got so anxious about the answer. God's time is not always our time. We must remember, He knows all and sees all from beginning to end.

Good job! These tribes cried out to the Lord and trusted Him to help them whenever they went out to battle; therefore, they were victorious in battle over their enemies. But, unfortunately, these same tribes became unfaithful to God, therefore God caused there enemies to carry them away as prisoners. May we always be faithful to the holy and righteous God. Amen.

it is sad to see faith abandoned. my great-grandfather was a tremendous man of God who dedicated his life to lay-service. he had nine children so there are many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but with each generation there seems to be less interest in church and God.

Nancy M. from Runnemede, NJ said:
i hear you, Maggie, i asked an 8 year old if she believed in God. She said, who is he? i said he is the one who created you and trees and the sky. She said. I thought mother nature created me. I asked a young Jewish man that attends the local university around here what he thought about Jesus. He said he never heard of him. i said were you not taught that he was a great Jewish prophet? He said no, he never heard anything at all about him. i asked what do you think the Christmas celebrations is all about. He said a celebration of the winter season. i never attend church until I was 33 years old. But my parent had attend church when they were young so i knew a little, but if children’s parent and grandparents never went to church these children know nothing about God.

Yes it is sad. But for every 1 like that I hear about, I run across 10 that have heard and 5 that believe. I think the devil wants us to believe there are a lot less of us out there than the are. Remember Elijah, he thought he was the only one and God showed him there were 5000 out there.

Angela G. from North Myrtle Beach, SC said:
Yep I agree it's mental warfare the devil wants us overwhelmed so we give up. It doesn't matter if there is only one in 10 if we are that one and we believe they other 10 don't stand a chance of at least not hearing the word of God and if we are living our faith out loud they can't help but see what God can do.
