I like this verse. It's hard sometimes to remember this. Doubts creep in as you think about things you have heard. There are many views on different subjects and it is human nature to question. That's why it is important to stand firm in the faith!

No matter what we do we must stand firm in our faith; be courageous; be strong in the word of the Lord. We must be on guard to all situations and circumstances not allowing anyone or anything to cause us to lose our way or to be distracted from our faith.

Paul is telling them that need to be strong, standing firm. Not giving in to the desires and demands of others. Just like them, we must be strong, not give in to the whims of the world for this is it our permanent home. We will face conflict, threats and many things/people trying to deter us from our belief but we must remain strong in our faith. Lord, help me to stay strong in you, staying in your word daily and not giving into the desires of this world.

This verse jumped out at me, as I believe the church is in for a rough road ahead, and we will have to stand our ground in Christ, and with spiritual boldness, proclaim the word of the Lord in love, as is noted in the next verse. Lord, help all believers to demonstrate the love and authority that You have given us, that the world, but especially the church, might be transformed into a holy unity. Start with me, Lord. Amen

"Let all your things be done with charity." v45 (KJV) Amen... "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth out fear because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." 1 John 4:18 amen.

Amen, and something i really have to diligently practice.

This is what we all need to do stand firm in our faith and be strong and have courage to spread the Lords word.

We have to be on the lookout... the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy. God, you said in your word that you come to give us life, and you come to give it to us more abundantly. We have to stand strong in our faith if we don't people don't mind knocking us down. It takes a lot of courage to stand for the truth, and we will be presecuted for his name sake. Will get our reward in the end when we stand before God and he says. "You good and faithful servant enter into the joys of the Lord."

In this life you have to be on your guard or else you will be led down the wrong path. In this life everyone has to careful with whom they associate with. If you associate yourself with people who are not of good character, people will assume that you are just like them.

Thank you Lord for reminding me that your always by my side and you will direct my paths in life.In all i encounter in life your always teaching me things I need to change or work on.To me this verse says To be all of the above verse, because your right beside me all the time.
